What We Do

Movement for Healing is a small independent grass roots programme based in London. We provide access to body-based practices that support physical and mental well-being. We work specifically with people who have been impacted by sexual violence and domestic abuse, and social discrimination and marginalisation.

We share support tools that are influenced by postural yoga, meditation and exploratory movement. We believe that healing comes in community and all our classes are held in small groups.

We run independent courses and workshops in addition to collaborations with charities and organisations. We advocate for all our spaces to welcome survivors of adversity by supporting yoga teachers through continued development and discussion. We provide classes and workshops to the public in order to fundraise.

We value non-dogmatic, non-judgemental, financially accessible, culturally diverse and trauma-informed methods of support.

Meet the Team

Our small team of passionate facilitators is made up of yoga practitioners and qualified yoga teachers who are trained at Masters level in our different specialities.

“Your classes have been life-changing. I can’t thank you enough.”
